Biography

Increased global interdependence and the ease of human, animal and trade movements facilitate the continued emergence and re-emergence of novel infectious pathogens. There are a number of novel pathogens with recognised pandemic and zoonotic potential. Sporadic outbreaks or pandemic spread can have devastating health impacts, particularly on vulnerable populations.

Prof. Lambe’s research interest lie in the development of efficacious vaccines against diseases with direct veterinary impact e.g. Nipah disease and Nairobi sheep disease.
