Biography

Dr Tshifhiwa Nefefe is cellular immunologist research scientist at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) within the Transboundary Animal Diseases (TAD) section. His research interest is falls within the application of experimental immunology and systems biology to understand host immune response to bacterial and viral pathogens. This is through the improved understanding of disease pathogenesis and identification of immunological correlates of protection in vaccine development. In his career, he has gain skills in immune transcriptomics, molecular biology techniques and new generation sequencing technology all to revolutionize the veterinary immunology insight.
