Biography

I am currently an Associate Professor and the acting Head of Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Osogbo, Nigeria. I obtained Doctor of Medicine in 1998(DVM), MSc. Medical Microbiology in 2004 and Ph.D Microbiology in 2011. As an academia for over 16years, I have been involved in teaching of Medical, Nursing, Biomedical and post graduate students. I have also initiated and implemented several research projects with special emphasis on epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance, pathogenicity and surveillance of pathogen of zoonotic importance such as Arcobacter, Salmonella and tuberculosis. I have had hands on experience in the handling of laboratory animals. My current research is on Assessment of efficacy of BCG vaccination in bovine tuberculosis in malaria co-infection using a mouse model.

 I also have the flexibility to adapt to diverse cultural environment and naturally endowed with ability to operate successfully in many different contexts and believe that I have developed the needed capacity to think creatively and carry out independent research successfully.
