BBSRC Discovery Fellowships (UK)

Deadline: 11 June 2020

Note: The previously published deadline of 12th May 2020 has been extended due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and to allow applicants more time to submit their proposals.

The Discovery Fellowship (DF) provides support for researchers wishing to undertake independent research and gain leadership skills. The DF will support the transition of early stage researchers to fully independent research leaders. As such, the DF enables BBSRC to supply the UK with highly skilled, professional research leaders.

Awards are for three years and it is expected that up to 10 fellowships will be awarded, each of a value of up to £300,000 (80% fEC). Please note: BBSRC will provide funds of up to £300k (80% of the full economic cost). The total costs (100% full economic cost) requested may be up to £375,000.
