Recognising and harnessing the values of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for supporting lifelong careers in Immunology

This event is funded through the British Society for Immunology as part of their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion grant scheme. We will engage with two main speakers who will tell us about their lifelong careers in immunology: the challenges and opportunities including their experiences of mentoring. We will follow this with a facilitated discussion led by a panel including our two speakers, two senior immunologists and two early career researchers. Our main discussion will be around how we might harness the breadth and wealth of experience of researchers in the latter stages of their careers to benefit the organisation, it's goals and how this can influence the support for those in the earlier stages of their careers.

This will be a hybrid event, with a limited number of attendees in person (due to COVID restrictions) but with online participation actively encouraged. There will be an opportunity for informal discussion during the coffee break and at the end with a small reception.

Everyone is encouraged to attend or take part, including non-immunologists who are interested in EDI and learning from the experience of others.
