International Pandemic Sciences Conference 2023

10-11 July 2023
Oxford, UK and online

Representatives from academia, industry, policy and civil society are invited to gather in Oxford, UK and online from 10 - 11 July 2023 for the inaugural International Pandemic Sciences Conference.

The conference is dedicated to accelerating the discovery, creation and equitable application of practical solutions to epidemic and pandemic threats worldwide.

Over the last three years, the tireless work of the global scientific and research community in addressing COVID-19 has protected health systems, restored livelihoods and saved millions of lives.

These scientific advances and breakthroughs were built on many years of existing groundwork in pandemic science research.

But they were also due to the innovation, partnerships, investment and new approaches rapidly deployed during the pandemic. How can we ensure these exceptional ways of working become business as usual in pandemic sciences?

The Conference’s 2023 theme, Making the Exceptional Routine, will explore how the level of innovation and multidisciplinary and multisectoral partnership we saw during COVID-19 can happen day-in, day-out to protect us from another devastating pandemic.

The International Pandemic Sciences Conference 2023 is hosted by the Pandemic Sciences Institute at the University of Oxford.
