Overview

This introductory training course will examine the ethical issues raised by animal infectious disease research, with a focus on the 3Rs, research ethics review and ethics by design in research planning. The concept of ethics and how it applies to scientific research will be examined. 3Rs and aspects of experimental design will be discussed. course will discuss ‘ethics and the 3Rs by design’ as applied to research design in grant applications. This training course will help researchers identify information relating to codes of conduct and resources that support responsible research and research integrity. session will be interactive and involve some group work.
