About the Role:

BactiVac, the Bacterial Vaccines Network (www.birmingham.ac.uk/bactivac) is a global vaccinology network that brings together members based in academic, industry and policy sectors to accelerate the development of vaccines against bacterial diseases relevant to low and middle-income countries.  Since its establishment in 2017, the Network has grown to nearly 1,700 members based across 84 countries, with 49% of our membership based in LMICs.  BactiVac fosters partnership by providing catalyst project funding and training support to our members.  The Network also hosts Annual Network Meetings that bring our global bacterial vaccinology community together, allowing the exchange of ideas and supporting the generation of new collaborations.

BactiVac is looking to recruit 2 experienced Network Administrators who will be responsible for providing strong and effective administrative support across a range of Network activities. The postholders will take a lead on the administration of the Network’s systems and processes which underpin key Network activities. These include the project management of funding calls for research projects and training opportunities, the planning and delivery of Network events, and ensuring the BactiVac website and social media channels are up to date.

Applicants should have a successful track record of being able to work as part of a team, utilising their excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating outstanding judgement to successfully deliver outcomes within agreed timescales and to the required standard, be confident in dealing with a variety of stakeholders at all levels within a range of organisations and to work collaboratively within a small, dynamic administrative team.
