Postdoctoral Scientist in Vaccine Development

Closing date: 22 August

The Royal Veterinary College wishes to recruit a postdoctoral scientist into the Department of Pathobiology and Population Sciences to work in the area of vaccine development. The post, funded for 3 years by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), will continue a collaboration between the RVC Parasitology and Molecular Immunology groups. The project will focus on the ongoing development of a yeast-based vaccine vector platform for use with poultry. Targeting Eimeria species parasites, cause of the disease coccidiosis, we aim to improve and validate an experimental vaccine, optimising vaccination processes and increasing understanding of the immune responses stimulated.
