Postdoctoral Fellow - African Swine Fever

The Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization-International Vaccine Centre (VIDO-InterVac), a research institute at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada, is seeking to appoint postdoctoral fellows to work on African swine fever.

Position 1

  • The successful candidate must have a PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
  • Experience in molecular virology particularly in constructing viral vectors for vaccine development is desirable. Experience of working with adenovirus\vaccinia virus vectors could be an asset.

Position 2

  • The successful candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
  • Experience in molecular virology particular in working in Biocontainment level 3 laboratory is desirable. Experience in working with African swine fever virus could be an asset.

Position 3

  • The successful candidate must have a PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
  • Experience in molecular virology particularly isolating and characterizing immortalized ly6mphocye\macrophage cell lines will be desirable. Experience in isolating lymphocytes/macrophages from animals will be an asset.

All positions have flexible start dates and are guaranteed for a term of 2-3 years. Candidates must have obtained their degree within the last 5 years.
